Love Birds
(Agapornis)
We have lots of love birds living with us on the farm, you can even walk through their aviary*. They are easy to spot due to their bright coloured feathers that are most commonly peach, yellow, green, teal, orange and violet, however sometimes they can have grey and white feathers .
Love birds are known by that name because of their strong pairing bonds. They are very sociable animals and can often be seen playing together, following each other from branch to branch and chattering quite loud to each other. Their ‘tweet’ can be heard around the farm.
You may think they look like mini parrots and thats because they are! They have hooked beaks and four toes – 2 point forward and 2 point backwards.
*The walk through aviary may be closed from time to time inline with avian laws.
Where can you see our Love Birds?
Our love birds live with our Japanese Quails and have an indoor aviary in the Silver barn and an outdoor aviary near to the lake.

Some of our love birds are so friendly that they will land on you in our walk through aviary or maybe even feed from your hand.

Animal Encounters
Our Animal Encounters are a great way to get up-close and personal to your favourite farm animal for an interative 30 minute experience for your group of up to 6 people.
You will need to purchase individual daytime admission tickets if you wish to stay on the farm after your encounter.
Animal Sponsorship
Our animal sponsorship is a great way to support the Farm. We have 3 different levels of sponsorship available for a selection of our animals which is valid for a year from purchase.
Each animal sponsorship comes with its own certificate and you also get the opportunity to visit us here at the Farm.
