Quail
(Coturnix Coturnix )
There are around 20 species of quail and we have Japanese Quails living us on the farm they are the most common form of quail found in east Asia. .
It’s a bit of a secret that our Japanese quails are unsung superstars of the farm, they are fast runners, quick to mature and produce eggs from just 8 weeks old.
Male quail are usually smaller than the females, with brown and fawn coloured feathers. Although they look like fast land running birds they can fly which helps them escape predators.
Where can you see our Quails?
Our quails live in the silver barn with our love birds.
