The black-and-white Tegu is the largest species of Tegu lizard. They can grow to be between 4-5 feet long!

IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern.

Diet: They are an omnivorous animal that feeds on invertebrates, eggs, small mammals, and fruit!

Habitat: The black-and-white Tegu can be found throughout central and eastern South America in the forest and scrubland.

Fun fact: Males are typically larger than females and have distinguished jowls at the jaw.
