IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern

Diet: Carnivorous, eating medium-sized mammals and birds. The bulk of their diet is rodents.

Habitat: Forest, Savanna, Shrubland, Grassland, Wetlands (inland), Desert, Artificial/Terrestrial. They live in areas of Mexico, Central America and South America west of the Andes Mountains. 

Fun Fact: Only 25% of species of snakes give birth to live young. This includes the Boa Constrictor.
